Winner of several international competitions, Angèle Legasa studied at the CNSMD in Paris and the Hochschule in Leipzig.
Passionate about chamber and orchestral repertoire, Angèle is a founding member of Trio Sōra and will be principal cellist of the Orchestre National de Bordeaux from September 2024.
As a member of the trio, Angèle has performed on many stages, including the Wigmore Hall, the Beethoven-Haus, the Verbier Festival, the Philharmonie de Paris, the Auditorium du Louvre and the Aix-en-Provence Festival. The trio has won 14 prizes and awards, and their recordings have been acclaimed by international critics.
Angèle Legasa plays a Giulio Cesare Gigli cello (1767), an instrument generously loaned by the Boubo-Music Foundation (Switzerland).
